Dental Fillings, Crowns, and Bridges

Dental Fillings

At McKenzie River Dental, we provide amalgam and tooth-colored composite dental fillings. To treat a cavity, Springfield Oregon dentists Dr. Welch and Dr. Schilt will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then “fill” the area on the tooth where the decayed material once lived.

Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth. If you have received fillings over the years, we will closely monitor them and offer replacement options if necessary.

Crowns

Crowns are used to strengthen and improve the shape, size, or color of teeth. They can support broken, cracked, compromised teeth, or those with large fillings.

Crowns provide a smooth, strong, attractively contoured surface for stained, misshapen, or otherwise abnormal teeth. Because they are made of zirconia or porcelain, they look and feel just like real teeth.

Dental Bridges

The McKenize River Dental team is proud to offer you a healthier, better-looking smile through dental bridges. As the name implies, dental bridges literally bridge the space created by one or more missing teeth.  With our procedures, teeth adjacent to the area of missing teeth are crowned and used as anchors to support the restorations.

Dr. Welch and Dr. Schilt at McKenzie River Dental will first prepare the effected teeth, precisely constructing the bridge to ensure correct bite and to match the opposing teeth. Dental bridges are made using porcelain or zirconia, and are manufactured right here in Springfield, Oregon. Fitting a dental bridge usually takes only two appointments to complete.

Our goal at McKenzie River Dental is to help our patents to enjoy the best oral health possible.  With bridges and other tooth replacement options, we can make sure our patients have smile they have always wanted.
